I made this last night and really enjoyed it. It has a very nice flavor, and was very filling. I’m not following a low carb diet, so I served over rice for my carb, and added some extra vegetables (mushroom and bell pepper) to up my veggie portion.
I saw some people said they might add more cream to make it creamier, and if you want it more saucy for over pasta, I could see that helping because it’s quite firm as is. I didn’t want to up the calories, and it was a fine consistency with the rice. I covered with foil for the first 25 minutes so the cheese wouldn’t burn.
I mixed the ingredients as prescribed in the greased casserole dish, but I’m afraid that wiped all the grease off the sides, because it was quite baked on and hard to cleanup after. I would suggest mixing in the pan then pouring into the greased dish. Thanks for a delicious recipe!
