This is a simple, basic, cake doughnut recipe that would be great for any beginning cook. The directions are clearly written and the finished product is delicious. These are not, as stated by another reviewer, yeast doughnuts. They are heavier, but not overly heavy. You may need to knead a little extra flour into the dough to make it workable – remember that humidity can play a factor in how dry or sticky any dough is. I rolled some in sugar and some in cinnamon and sugar. I’ll definitely make these again. Thanks for a great recipe!
