Vintage Spice Jars

I then took the jars outside and gave them two coats of spray paint. I decided to use this appliance spray because it’s so durable.

I like the glossy look it gives the jars.

I sprayed the lids gold and decided I didn’t like that look. Fail

I decided to make them look like galvanized steel instead.

I painted them a matte dark grey using chalk paint.

Once dry I stippled the lids with silver paint.

Now that I’ve figured out this technique I may have to try this out on some other things.

So that’s it! I may fill them with spices again and find some cute labels.

Then again I may just display them in my kitchen.
