Many of us can’t imagine starting the day without our morning cup of joe, but while most of us can make regular old black coffee with no problem, we usually can’t replicate the fancy coffee drinks we get at our hip neighborhood coffee house. However, going to the coffee shop every day can put a strain on anyone’s budget, which is why we started looking for recipes we could make at home that taste as good as the coffee shop versions but at a fraction of the cost. We hit the jackpot when we found this recipe for homemade salted caramel iced coffee, which is a decadent but easy to make drink that will make you feel like you’re at the trendiest coffee house in town!
If you like your coffee sweet, rich and potent, then you’ll love this iced coffee. Just take some nice strong coffee and then add sugar, heavy cream, butter, sea salt, and vanilla. It might sound like kind of a strange combination, but boy is it delicious! It’s luscious and enticing enough for dessert, and in fact, we like to have it after a nice hearty meal. It also makes a great pick-me-up for when you’re in the middle of a long day and really need to treat yourself.
