This week Erika, our in-house craft guru, decided to transform an unfinished Ikea Rast dresser using paint and a fun stencil pattern. This is an inexpensive and easy furniture project to complete especially when using Cutting Edge Stencils. Erika purchased an unfinished pine Ikea Rast chest for $35. Erika’s creative wheels started spinning and she saw lots of potential in this plain dresser.
To kick off this project, Erika removed the knobs from the dresser.
Then she painted the dresser in a custom mixed paint color using a 4″ dense foam roller. The custom mix was a combination of Benjamin Moore’s After Midnight and Bermuda Turquoise .
