it made more sense to use the sheets instead of placing the tile or glass pieces one by one would have consumed a lot of time. Its your option if you want to do it one piece at a time it’s your preference.
to make the tile adhere to the concrete planter I used this dap all purpose spackle. It was messy, but fun.
I spread it on just like butter!, funny thing is I used a butter Knife, the trick with this project is working fast , as some of you know this stuff dries fast so- working quickly in sections was key.
As I mentioned earlier I spread it on with an old butter knife scissors were also key when the sheet of tile required some cutting.
I used a screw driver to clean some of the old crud off of the planter pot.
lastly premixed gout was used
A bucket of water, and a sponge is needed to clean the grout from the pot. keeping in mind you will be changing the water often as you clean the grout to achieve a nice smooth look.
This spackle tool is need as well to apply the grout.
Don’t forget your gloves, unless you don’t mind getting a manicure when you’re done.
I added a few of these beads to give it some color and to match the pool area. I place them around the top and randomly placed a few more ,no rhyme or reason”
I placed the palms back in the pots I went for a ruff look so the top of the pots around the rims I rubbed some of the grout there and let it dry.
Pot number two (2) is not identical to pot number (1) one, more of a fraternal look, same items used with a different spin on each one
And this is it! tell me what you think….
