-I love rhubarb!! When I read this recipe yesterday, I had all the ingredients on hand except the buttermilk. A quick trip to the store fixed that. Made it last night–it is delicious!! Thank you for posting–this is a keeper.

-rhubarb is a sour fruit, so don’t skip on the sugar in making any recipe that calls for rhubarb. No you don’t peel the fruit, just chop and add to pan or bowl depending upon recipe. I like to take several stalks and chop and put into freezer bags for later use. Should you get the chance to harvest from the main plant, be sure you cut off the leaves right there. Wash, chop and enjoy your favorite recipe. Love it on ice cream as a sauce or favorite is a pie.
