Measure and Nail
I first measured the height and width of the drawers, and cut the boards to fit around them. I then nailed the bottom piece to the two side panels.

Check that the Drawers Fit
I then made sure the drawers fit inside nicely.

Measure and Cut the Top
Then I measured the top piece, and cut that out as well.

Paint and Sand
You can keep the wood look, and perhaps add a nice varnish. I decided to paint it, so I spray painted it all over with oiled rub bronze and lightly sanded the edges. This gives it that nice distressed look that I love.

And that’s it, plastic drawers with a new look. Just a small upgrade!
