Creamy Watermelon Pie

I love this recipe! I could not find Watermelon flavored jello anywhere in my area so I used Strawberry. It turned out delicious. The Strawberry jello really accented the watermelon flavor. I also made it with Cool Whip Lite for less calories and it was just as good. I have been experimenting with this recipe and have come up with some fantastic tasting pies. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
I can’t remember where I got this recipe from, but it is so easy and refreshing. A great pie for the summer months.
-Maria, If you beat heavy cream to almost a butter stage or stiff, you can use regular heavy cream just add a very small amount of confectioners sugar and a drop of vanilla if you want a little sweetness.
-Hi Stephanie, Nice hearing from you again on JAP. How are you? Glad to know that YOU made this pie and say it’s T&T. I really must try it sometime when I have someone to share it with. Will comment on here again after I’ve made it.
-so, hubby said it was “interesting.” LOL. and yes, I have to agree…first time we’ve ever put watermelon and cool whip together lol. I used unflavored jello since i couldnt find watermelon (i didn’t feel like running 20 minutes to walmart for 3oz of jello). Some of the jello seemed to not mix in real well and was gummy…could have just been something i did. I actually kind of liked the pie itself though. Not sure it’s one i’d make a lot, but not one i’d totally write off either.
