-Made these last night for me and my 13 yr old grandson, using garlic cheese Texas toast, and he said “Nanny, that was the best burger I’ve ever had” now keep in mind he has always loved any burger that I make for him, but I have a feeling this is his new favorite!

-The sandwich sounds like a “patty melt” that I made during my 30 years as a cook/ “almost chef”. I would lay 2 slices of bread on the grill… those sides buttered, of course. I would put a slice of cheese on each slice of bread and when the cheese melted I would add already sauteed onions and a cooked burger on one of the slices. I’d top it off with the other slice of bread with the melted cheese. It was a very big seller!
