This is a great summer dish… perfect for picnics and family reunions. Yum!
-to make a very similar Miracle whip I use 1/2 c of Best Foods Mayo and 1 tsp of cider vinegar and 1 packet of Splenda or any S.F. substitute+ pinch of salt and pepper.
For bigger amounts depending on recipe increase at this ratio.
If making cold slaw, I toss the vinegar in the cabbage..let sit. Mix mayo, s and p and sugar sub, stir into the slaw together and then let sit again….about 15 minutes.
-Pinched and pinned! Sounds delish. I find Miracle Whip too sweet; have you tried it with mayonnaise instead? And have you ever swapped out the bell pepper for a jalapeno? Definitely making!
PS: There is a website called www.freetranslation.com. Just put in what you want translated, choose the language, and it translates it for you. Not always perfect, but you can usually get the jist of what is being said.
-the two main additions to miracle whip is high-fructose corn syrup and sugar. It has some additional spices too. But probably you could just add some sugar and that will work in a pinch. I looked to see what spices but the notes I read said it is 20 some different spices so that’s probably what helps to give it a tangy flavor. Maybe some vinegar might work to. They are two different tastes that for sure. Hope this helps a little. This is one yummy recipe.
