This might be my favorite blog post of all time! Today I’m talking about my Faux Cement Tile Painted Floors!!!
I completely transformed our dated peachy tile by painting it! These floors travel ALL the way into our mudroom.
This was the “before”. It wasn’t horrendous, but it also wasn’t my style. In the mudroom I also had some serious tile repairs to make before I could even paint. The old grout was all cracked and these tiles rocked and were no longer adhered to the subfloor. Because I was going to be painting I wasn’t worried about matching the tile or the grout, and then it ended up matching perfectly… which never would have happened if I was trying to match.
I absolutely LOVE Amy Howard One Step Paint and knew that I wanted to use it on the floor. I started out with one coat of “Good Man is Hard to Find“. **Contains Affiliate Links**
I rolled it on using this 6″ roller and then my faithful trusty short handled brush for edging.
After rolling the first coat I decided that “Good Man is Hard to Find” was just too blue, and I decided to mix it with Black One Step Paint.
