Definitely not better than take out, but tastes alright. If we make it again, it will need something to add more oomph in flavor. Makes you realize how salty Chinese food is compared to this recipe.
Made this dish tonight and had all ingredients on hand except the sesame oil (which is now on my shopping list). It was easy to make and tasted so much better than takeout! I found a new weeknight dinner!
Wow!!! Very good, super easy! I used frozen Far East veggie blend, added celery and Tony Chachere’s seasoning, didn’t measure the soy sauce, just poured a little at a time to taste! This is a new fav!!!!
I have tried this recipe multiple times trying different kinds of rice and it has never worked out. The teriyaki chicken recipe linked in this however is amazing
Love this recipe! Tweaked it a bit. Only add enough soy sauce till the rice turns brown. Don’t use sesame oil either (replaced with olive oil). First attempt came out perfect, other times it was near perfect.
Delicious! Fried some chopped spam and threw that in at the end, too. Just a great no-fuss recipe that’s easily modified to suit whatever you have on hand. This will be my go-to fried rice recipe from now on.
