Strawberry Brioche Bread Pudding

Ingredients:
– 1 lb. strawberries, ripe
– 1/2 cu. orange juice
– 1 loaf brioche bread
– 6 tbs. butter, melted
– 1 ¼ cu. half & half
–  3 eggs, beaten
– 1 ¼ cu. sugar
–  8 oz. cream cheese, softened
– 1 tsp. vanilla extract
–  ¼ tsp. salt
– 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions:
1) Slice brioche loaf into 1/2 inch thick slices. Cut slices into half triangles. 2) Cut each strawberry into quarters or slice thinly according to preference (here, strawberries were cut into quarter pieces). Soak strawberries in orange juice. 3) Spread melted butter onto each bread triangle. Place bread triangles in baking dish. 4) Beat eggs. Whisk in half and half. 5) In a separate large bowl combine sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, salt and nutmeg. Blend well with mixer on medium speed. 6) Add egg and half & half mix and strawberries and orange juice mix to large bowl mixture. Mix well with spoon or whisk. 7) Pour combined mixture over bread triangles, cover loosely with tinfoil. 8) Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
