Next we cleaned the floor and removed and nails from the plywood sub floor.

Next we installed the new flooring (with a little help from the little guy) using a hardwood flooring air nailer, floor staples, and a rubber mallet. It took about two days to finish. Installing hardwood is one of my favorite renovations to do. It’s not too messy, and within a short time the floors go from rough sub floor, to shiny and new floors!

With a fresh coat of paint, this open concept dining and living area went from orange and outdated to fresh and modern.
