Ingredients
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 2 cups self rising cornmeal
- 3 small onions with juice grated
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- Buttermilk just enough to make the batter thick
- Oil for frying
Instructions

Mix all ingredients together. Batter should be thick. Let set for 30 minutes.

In a deep pan heat oil for frying.

Round batter into small balls and drop in hot oil.

Fry until balls are a golden brown.

Remove and set on paper towel to drain.
