Every year my little town has a huge bizarre. We do this to raise funds for the schools in our town. It’s something I look forward to every single year. Mostly, because I am in charge of the bake sale. I love to bake and I love to raise money for a good cause! So, every year I look forward to this event because I get to show case my baking talents and see other peoples.
This year I was trying to think of the goodies that I was going to make for this bake sale. I feel like I always do something with chocolate. I mean I love chocolate – like really love chocolate! But I wanted to do something different that would really catch peoples attention. Some of the other people had some really good chocolatey desserts so I decided to think of something else.
I wanted to do something with carrot cake. I think more people love carrot cake more than you would think. But I wanted to make sure that what I made was really appealing to everyone. I put my thinking cap on and started brainstorming. After a bit of time it hit me! Whoopie pies! Cookies! Carrot Cake! I combined all three to make some seriously delicious dessert sandwiches! This recipe came out wonderful and was a huge hit! I sold out of these within 2 hours!
