George Ghossn and Lori Gertz were pen pals for 42 years! They started writing letters to each other when George was 14 and Lori was 12. It all started as a chain letter, but they kept in touch over the years (and years!).
Needless to say, the two became quite close friends. Lori got married and had two children, and still, they wrote to each other. George thought if they ever met, it would damage their friendship somehow – so they never actually met. Finally, George traveled across the country to meet Lori.
