When pressed, the nerve endings in the finger connect with channels that encourage the circulation of energy through the body.

You can perform the Mudras anytime and anywhere and it will only take a few minutes to completely relax. Here are the Mudras, how to perform them, and their benefits:

Prana Healing (Mudra of Life)

Bend the little and the ring finger and then touch the thumb with them. This Mudra prevents fatigue, treats eye problems, and strengthens the immunity.

Gyan Mudra (Mudra of Knowledge)

Sit in lotus position and place the hands on the knees. With the index finger, touch the tip of the thumb and close or straighten the other 3 fingers. This pose increases your concentration and relaxes the mind. It treats insomnia, stress, and depression.

Prithvi Mudra (Mudra of Earth)

With the tip of the ring finger, touch the tip of the thumb and then press both fingers to each other and straighten the others. This pose balances the element of Earth in your body and improves the digestion.

Vayu Mudra (Mudra of Air)

You need to fold the index finger towards the palm and press with the thumb’s base. Extend the other three fingers. This pose is excellent for treating bloating and constipation.

Jal Mudra (Mudra of Water)

While sitting with the legs crossed, touch the little finger tip with the thumb’s tip, but don’t press too hard. The other fingers need to be straightened.

Agni Mudra (Mudra of Fire)

Close the ring finger towards the palm and press the second phalanx with the thumb’s base while extending the other fingers on the sides. Do this in the morning prior to breakfast. It will make your immunity stronger and better your metabolism as well.

Shunya Mudra (Mudra of Emptiness)

Press the first phalanx of the middle finger with the thumb. This pose is great against motion sickness, tongue, nose, and ear problems, and vertigo.
