box open

holes … I placed them all over the lid and on one side I cut a hole, big enough for my hand to fit through

Now I have a problem, because I did photograph the steps in between and deleted them by accident. I did dig a hole big enough to hold the box, with the lid even with the ground, Layed plastic foil inside the ground, placed the box on the foil and pulled it out around the box on to the ground area around it. I covered the lid on the top with mosquito netting, to keep small debris to float into the holes and then clipped the lid on.

Then I filled the box with water, inserted a small solar pump, the nozzle for the pump comes right through one of the drilled holes and arranged rocks around it and smaller ones on top

planted a few flowers, added solar lights and steel balls. Added quite a few more things in the meantime, but I think you get the impression

and there you have it. The pump works fine, turns itself on with the sunshine and even runs for about two hours after sunset. The water sprinkles on the rocks and runs back into the box on the bottom. For refill I just simply pour water on to the rocks in the middle

The solar panel that feeds the pump. It has an extra connector, so you can unplug it, which is nice.

repair and maintenance entry

And I only have to remove one big flat stone, to get to the part, where my hand fits in. You can see some of the mosquito netting. I just pull it back over the hole, lay my rock back down and nobody can see it. It is just vital to make the hole in an EASY to reach place …. At first I thought I had to hide it, and placed it in the rear, where it took a lot of balancing my old body to reach it. Now it is right there in the front.
