Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

    • 1 loaf of Italian bread or French baguette
    • 1 pound of thinly sliced ribeye steak
    • 1 onion, thinly sliced
    • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 1 cup of shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Optional toppings: sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, or jalapeños

Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    2. Slice the loaf of Italian bread or French baguette in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet.
    3. In a skillet, heat one tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and cook until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
    1. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the thinly sliced onion until caramelized. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
    2. Spread the cooked steak evenly over the sliced bread, followed by the caramelized onions and minced garlic.
    3. Sprinkle shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese generously over the steak and onions, ensuring even coverage.
    1. If desired, add optional toppings such as sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, or jalapeños for an extra kick of flavor.
    2. Place the assembled Philly cheesesteak garlic bread in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown.
    3. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into individual portions.
  1. Serve hot and enjoy the delicious fusion of flavors!
