How to Clean Black Mold from Bathroom Sealant

🟨 Black mold removal

Once you’ve killed the mold spores, it’s now for cleaning the shower silicone mold. Use a toothbrush and an old towel. Clean the sealant and rinse with hot water. Mold grows in warm, moist areas, but extra heat will kill any remaining spores after washing. Rinse the sealant with very hot water and dry it with a clean towel.

🟫 Black rust prevention
In order to prevent mold recurrence, avoid creating a proper growing environment. Simple things like: drying the shower when you finish using it; spraying the shower walls with vinegar once a week; using a fan or a dehumidifier in the bathroom and letting in plenty of natural light – will help prevent the recurrence of black mold.
