this batter works on onion rings fish, and more. on the chicken bites try adding a picnch of powderd ginger To the Batter It Tasts Good
In your post from July 7, 2012 in regards to the “Chicken Bites Tempura Style” recipe, you mentioned that you didn’t have any self-rising flour so you listed some ingredients that you used instead. If I’m not mistaken, you listed: 3 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. baking powder. Did you mean 3-1/2 tsp. (three and one half tsp.) baking powder? Or, did you mean one of them to be baking soda??? Which one is it? Could you please clarify this for me? I’m not good at substituting ingredients so I wouldn’t know which one is the correct one!
I do not understand how everyone can approve when 1 cup liquid into 3 1/4 cups flour makes a powdery ball. I believe the water measurement is off.
that is what I love about cooking, you can tweak a recipe to make it your own….this sounds good! Thanks for sharing!!!
