Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad Copy Cat Recipe

I haven’t eaten at Applebee’s in years. My favorite thing there was always the Oriental chicken rollup, but then they did away with it. Their Oriental chicken salad is what I eat now when I got there. It’s still pretty good, but that rollup was the best on their menu.

I know Applebee’s is considered to be pretty decently priced, and looking at inflation and other restaurants, I suppose it is. That salad though? It’s $11 and even more at other locations. You could make 4 servings for that price really.

That is exactly why I love copy cat recipes. You get the flavors you like and want, but you can eat it for much less, and you get to eat it in the comfort of your own home.

This is a salad, which means it’s super simple to make! You do have a bit of work with the chicken, but for the most part, this recipe is a breeze.
This recipe does vary a bit from the traditional Applebee’s recipe. I personally love mandarin oranges. I used to eat them get the little snack packs of them all the time for my lunches at work. I should start that again… Anyway, I also really love them on salads. So, that’s what’s been added. It’s amazing.
