Causes of sciatica
The pain caused by sciatica intensifies after prolonged periods of standing or sitting down, heavy lifting or if you work a job that puts too much pressure on the nerve. Improper body posture and wearing inappropriate footwear can also make the pain worse. In general, sciatica is treated with painkillers, but there are many simple exercises and remedies which can relieve the symptoms and eliminate the pain.
Here’s something you can try: lie down on your back on the floor with your knees up to your chest and your head on the pillow. Stay like that for 10 minutes and repeat the exercise every night before going to bed in order to relieve the pain.
