There have been numerous discussions on whether fluoride leads to negative or positive effects, but newest studies have revealed that it is actually detrimental to your health. High fluoride levels have been found to lead to neurotoxicity in adults, and negative effects on the brain, memory and learning skills.
The Journal of Epidemiological & Community Health published a study which found a link between fluoride and thyroid problems, which lead to obesity and depression.
According to this study “In many areas of the world, hypothyroidism is a major health concern and in addition to other factors — such as iodine deficiency—fluoride exposure should be considered as a contributing factor. The findings of the study raise particular concerns about the validity of community fluoridation as a safe public health measure.”
