Skinny Shelf Next to Fridge Gap

There’s never enough space in the kitchen so hubs and I built a roll out unit for the ugly gap between the fridge and wall.

We started with a purchase of ply board that was 5′ by 8′ and three quarters inch thick. After measuring CAREFULLY, we used a table saw and cut lengths for the sides and top and bottom of the shelf. We built the frame first and used finishing nails to hold it together. We then cut the shelves and lips to prevent anything from falling out. We nailed the shelves in an used wood glue for the lips. Once it was put together, we sanded it and used a black gloss paint for the base coat. We had the paint leftover from another project. We finished with a chrome spray paint.
