Put together top of barFirst, measure the dimensions of your mini fridge. Our fridge was 21.3L” x 21.3W” x 31.4H” tall. You’ll want to add a couple of inches of width and depth to allow for proper ventilation per fridge instructions. We decided to make the bar 62″L x 26.5W” x 33″H.
Measure and cut five 62″L boards for the top of the bar. Use wood glue on the joints and clamp the boards into place.
Place pocket holes into wood and use 2 inch screws to clamp the pieces together.
Cut boards for the frameFirst, measure, mark and cut the wood to build out the frame of the bar.
It’s best to start building from the ground upOur design called for a 23.5″ space for the fridge and a 25.5 space for the right shelf space.
We started with an “E” shape on the ground and built our way upThe right side of the bar (shelve side) called for 21″W.
Stabilize the top of the bar by adding support between each of the sectionsPlace two pieces of wood at the top of the bar.
Create two sets of shelves for the barMeasure and cut 10 21″L boards for the shelves of the bar. Use wood glue on the joints and clamp the boards into place.
Stain the bar!Make sure to sand the bar really well before staining the bar. We used three coats of the stain.
Seal with PolyurethaneWe sealed with three coats of polyurethane.
