I think I’ve learned more about cooking from Alton Brown than maybe anyone else out there. (I watched A LOT of hours of Good Eats in the early 2000s. Like, a lot.) His science-based cooking approach is entertaining, sure, but his recipes also turn out delicious food. There are a number of his recipes that I’ve been making for twenty years now! So it’s no surprise that when I’m looking for an outstanding brownie recipe that will stand up to other celebrity brownie recipes, I’d look to him.
We made these brownies as a part of our Celebrity Brownie Recipe Showdown. The showdown is a fun project where we take four celebrity recipes — some celebrity chefs, some not so much — cook them, and then taste and compare them to see how they stack up. This match-up included Kris Jenner, Gordon Ramsay, Alton Brown, and Snoop Dogg. They were all very different and delicious in their own right.
