My family are huge fans of Italian food. It is crazy because we do not have any Italian blood whatsoever, but if you saw our weekly meal planning menu, you would have never guessed that. We are loaded up with lasagna, baked ziti, and pizza among many other traditional Italian dishes. The one meal that we make the most is Chicken Parmesan. Not only do we make it a lot, but every time it is on a menu when we go out to eat, my family orders it. They just love Italian food, and that dish specifically.
Well, my mom makes this a lot, but it is quite a bit of work. She has to prep the spaghetti in a pot, then bread the chicken, fry them until golden brown, but not actually cook through. Then place them in a casserole dish, top with tomato sauce and cheese and then pop in the oven for the chicken to finish cooking and cheese to melt. I mean, yeah it is delicious, but it is so much work, which is why we have been on the hunt for a new and improved chicken parmesan recipe. That is when we found this one. The whole chicken part is prepared in one pot: the crock pot! That is our type of dish!
