GARLIC-BUTTER-STEAK-BITES

Ingredients

Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb steak, cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Aged White Cheddar Mash:

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup aged white cheddar cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Green Beans:

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. For the steak bites: Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the steak cubes and cook until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. For the mash: Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and return to the pot. Add milk, 1/4 cup butter, and the grated cheddar cheese. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. For the green beans: In a separate skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Add the green beans and cook until tender but still crisp, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. To serve: Plate the creamy aged white cheddar mash, top with garlic butter steak bites, and serve with the green beans on the side.
