When I first heard of these bars I knew I had to make them. You see, I was born in tExas but my family only stuck around until I was 6 months old before heading back to Michigan. I have no recollection of what texas is like.
I think I need to plan a trip one of these days. Anyway, the name caught my eye and since everything is supposedly bigger and better in Texas I thought i’d give this dessert a shot. Boy oh boy, am I ever glad that i did! Not only are these Texas Gold bars tasty but they are insanely easy to make, too! I made a double batch of these yummy bars and took them to my church’s potluck supper. They were a HUGE hit.
