Save Your Dryer Lint for This CAMPING HACK!
First, collect dryer lint. You can also use sawdust. Don’t worry if it’s full of pet hair 🙂
Stuff the dryer lint into each section of a cardboard egg carton. The egg carton must be cardboard.
If you’re using tea lights, remove the wick. You can also use blocks of paraffin wax as a wick is not needed.
Gently place the wick in the middle of each section. Don’t worry if you don’t have a wick, it is not required.
Melt wax. I used 12 tea lights.
Place cardboard under the egg carton and carefully pour hot wax over the egg carton. The wax will leak through a little bit.
Let sit for about an hour and cut each section. If you let it dry completely, it will be hard to cut the sections, so I recommend doing it when it is still a little warm.
Now you’ve got your own fire starter, perfect for your next camping trip!
