Let’s Make Expensive Looking Bells for Under $5

I first untied the faux garland from each of the bells, and then took off the bows.

Then I took them out to my painting board in my garage 😂

Yes I have a board over a garbage can that I spray paint all of my small projects on.

Make sure to space the bells out enough so you can get all around them.

I had this spray paint on hand, it is the gold plate from ace hardware.

I gave each bell a light coat of paint.

I ended up doing 3 coats of paint, however I wish I would have only done 1, because I like the look of the imperfect paint ( I feel like it looks more antique)

Oh well they are still looking great so far.

Once the bells have dried completely, I pushed the rope through the tops.

Make sure that you stagger the lengths of your ropes, you don’t want them all the same length.

tie a knot underneath each bell.

Then I took all 3 bells and toured them together making a loop at the top.

I also had a lovely little hole that I had to cover, soo I took a little bit of left over rope and glued it around the top of each bell.

Easy enough right!?!

Let me know what you think of this project.
