How To Update and Refinish Old Iron Rails

We had originally wanted replace our old iron rails but decided to update the old iron rails we already had by sawing off the old scrollwork, sanding off the old peeling paint/rusty spots and then spraying with a special rust prevention paint before finishing it off with oil rubbed bronze spray paint. It was definitely a great “for now” solution, especially until we figure out how to fix our broken concrete steps. For a detailed how to, check out the post!
