How to Get Rid of Unpleasant Odors Around the Toilet

You are now ready to tackle those stubborn lingering odors. The best thing that I have found for this, is basic shaving cream. You don’t need anything fancy, but you want to make sure its the foaming kind, not the gel. There is some scientific evidence behind why this works, but i wont get into that here. Just rest assured in knowing that this is a hack that actually does work well.

Next you want the spray the shaving foam around the toilet. For our toilet personally, I find that most of the unpleasant smells come from the base of the toilet, so I made sure to fully cover that area.

Let the foam sit and do its thing for about 10 minutes. This is when I usually tackle the rest of the bathroom. As the foam sits, it will expand into any little nooks and crevices eliminating all of those nasty smells.

After about 10 minutes use a paper towel to wipe up all of that excess foam. This part can be a little bit messy, but its totally worth it in my opinion. After all of the foam is removed, I like to wipe everything down once more with a damp microfiber cloth to remove any residue the shaving cream might have left behind.

This cleaning hack might seem silly, but I promise it works every single time! Now you and your family can enjoy a clean and perfectly fresh bathroom!
