Homemade Carpet Stain Remover Recipe: Simple & No Scrub

Directions:

Add all the ingredients to a plastic spray bottle and then mix well, by shaking.

Then, saturate the stain with the mixture and let it dry.

Next, vacuum and done! So easy!!

***Please note that while many people have successfully used this recipe without needing to scrub, others, perhaps because of impatience, did scrub the stain remover into their carpet, and this worked as well.***

If you use the original Dawn dish soap, or another colored dish soap, and feel like it is leaving a colored soap residue in your carpet, you may want to rinse away the remover, once it has a chance to work on the stain. The important thing is to let it work for a while before you rinse it away.

Angela explained that she used this on her son’s stains, as mentioned above. Specifically she said, “This has worked amazing on vomit! My youngest’s stomach did not agree with spaghetti one night and he threw up all over our beige carpet and he did not tell me until the next morning so it had many hours to dry and stain. This stuff got the entire stain out!”

Do you have any homemade cleaner recipes to share, like Angela did? If so, I’d love to hear them. You can share your own recipes here or read others that have already been submitted, some of which are for specific stains, and others which are for more general use.
