Grandma’s Surprise Breakfast Bread

INGREDIENTS
3 cups warm milk
2 tablespoons sugar –
2 teaspoons salt –
2 large eggs
2 packages active-dry yeast
4 tablespoons oil
6 cups all purpose flour, divided plus 1/2 – 1 cup
TOPPINGS
1 cup brown sugar more or less to taste
1 package (3 1/2 oz) vanilla instant pudding powder
1/2 cup raisins more or less to taste
1/2 cup chocolate chips more or less to taste
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 – 1 teaspoon cinnamon more or less to taste
1/4 cup butter, melted
cooking spray

INSTRUCTIONS
In a large bowl, using a handheld or stand mixer, combine milk, salt, sugar, eggs, yeast and oil. Add 4 cups of flour and beat hard with your mixer. Add the remaining 2 cups of flour and work in by hand in the bowl. Let rise for 15 minutes. Punch down in the center and let rise 15 minutes more. Prepare a 13 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray and set aside. My grandmother also used a bundt pan to make this recipe, definitely a nice change! Make rolls and place them in your prepared pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar, instant pudding, raisins, chocolate and nuts. We always try to make sure there is a little bit of something on everything, if you know what I mean? Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Pour melted butter all over. Cover with clean, damp cloth and let them rise until they have doubled roughly in size. When you are ready to bake them preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for between 5 and 10 minutes. Serve directly from your baking pan. Enjoy!
