Ingredients
– 6 biscuits, such as Pillsbury
– 2 tbsp butter
– 1 garlic clove
– 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
– 2 tbsp grated parmesan
– 1 lb ground beef
– ½ cup bread crumbs
– 1 egg
– 1 clove garlic, chopped
– 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
– 1 tsp salt
– ½ tsp ground black pepper
– Mozzarella cheese
– Marinara sauce
Directions
-
Cut your biscuits in half, and roll each half into a 4-inch rope. Tie the biscuit ropes into knots and place them on a baking sheet.
-
Bake the knots for 12 minutes at 325*F.
-
Melt the butter with the garlic and parsley and brush over the tops of the garlic knots. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Return the knots to the oven for 3 minutes.
-
While the knots bake, mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, garlic, parsley, egg salt and pepper and form into small meatballs. About 1 ½ tbsp per meatball, and cook them over medium heat for 5 minutes on the first side. Gently press down on the meatballs to form level patties that will fit between the halves of your garlic knots.
-
Flip the patties, top them with a small piece of mozzarella and cook for a further 5 minutes.
-
Split your garlic knots in half, place a patty on the bottom half, add a spoonful of marinara and top with the other half of the knot.
