Garlic Knot Sliders with MasterChef Junior

Ingredients

– 6 biscuits, such as Pillsbury

– 2 tbsp butter

– 1 garlic clove

– 1 tbsp parsley, chopped

– 2 tbsp grated parmesan

– 1 lb ground beef

– ½ cup bread crumbs

– 1 egg

– 1 clove garlic, chopped

– 2 tbsp parsley, chopped

– 1 tsp salt

– ½ tsp ground black pepper

– Mozzarella cheese

– Marinara sauce

Directions

  1. Cut your biscuits in half, and roll each half into a 4-inch rope. Tie the biscuit ropes into knots and place them on a baking sheet.

  2. Bake the knots for 12 minutes at 325*F.

  3. Melt the butter with the garlic and parsley and brush over the tops of the garlic knots. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Return the knots to the oven for 3 minutes.

  4. While the knots bake, mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, garlic, parsley, egg salt and pepper and form into small meatballs. About 1 ½ tbsp per meatball, and cook them over medium heat for 5 minutes on the first side. Gently press down on the meatballs to form level patties that will fit between the halves of your garlic knots.

  5. Flip the patties, top them with a small piece of mozzarella and cook for a further 5 minutes.

  6. Split your garlic knots in half, place a patty on the bottom half, add a spoonful of marinara and top with the other half of the knot.
