Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups rolled oats
Optional
- 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate morsels or a combo of white chocolate morsels and Craisins, depending on the version of cookies you want to make
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and set aside baking sheets (greased or with foil).
-
Mix the ingredients. In a large bowl, mix the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Add rolled oats. Add your flavored morsels of choice.
-
As soon as the mix is well incorporated, form uniform dollops with a spoon and place onto baking sheets, leaving ample room for the cookies to expand when baking.
-
Bake for around 10 minutes, and remove them once the cookies are set but not burnt.
-
Transfer cookies to a cooling rack and allow them to cool before serving.
