Also called aphthous ulcers, canker sores usually appear on the inside of the mouth. They are seen on the inside of the lips and cheeks, under the tongue or at the base of the gums. They are red in color with a white coating and are usually painful.
They differ from fever blisters. Fever blisters are present on the outside of your mouth, either at the corner of the mouth or lips.
You can try a simple recipe for canker sores. It’s not harmful and you have nothing to lose. So there is no harm in trying.
Gargle with a glass of tap water which has 1 teaspoon of salt.
