Armoire Rehab

Once I finished the second coat, it looked good but still was lacking something. I started to sand small areas to make it look distressed and it seemed to work. This was the first time I had done this so it took some time. A lot of sanding a small area, stepping back and looking, back to sanding..etc.

First small bit of sanding…

Once I was happy with the outcome, I gave it a coat of protective clear finish that I had for chalk paint.

I decided I didn’t like the silver handles that came with it so that’s when I turned it over to my hunny and told him to fix it.

He sanded them down, just here and there, to make them look older. Next he sprayed them black.

Once dry, he then dry brushed silver paint sparingly, only a little at a time.

I just love how they turned out!

The finished product is more farmhouse vibe then beachy but all in all I’m very happy with the outcome!

Maybe I’ll get around to tackle the inside one of these days….
