Grandma Helen’s Oatmeal Cookies

I had asked my grandmother for some cookie recipes awhile back and she very kindly included her oatmeal cookie recipe which I have always loved. I really dislike oatmeal cookies with cinnamon and nutmeg, etc. in them so I was thrilled to get this recipe. It can be tailored to your tastes as far if you prefer nuts or chocolate chips or raisins or whatever!
-I love these! My family has actually been making them for years and years. We call them oatmeal crispies and put chocolate chips in them. Because raisins are the devil. My favorite cookie!
-I just made these tonight. They are husband and father approved!! I used coconut and raisins. I don’t like coconut very well but this combination is wonderful– this will be my go to oatmeal raisin recipe from now on. Thank you for an amazing recipe!– I used a medium scoop and I got 48 cookies
-Love these cookies! My husband’s favorite cookie is oatmeal raisin & chocolate chip. I made the recipe from the box last month but these are so much better. I used Raisinets and they were fantastic! We both love them! Thanks for the recipe!! Also as far as burning them I have to watch any cookie closely as I put different sized blobs on the cookie sheet just sayin!
