Sour Cream Coffee Cake -My Favorite!

For many years this has been one of my favorite coffee cakes. Because it is made with the finest ingredients: butter, sour cream, fresh eggs, vanilla and cinnamon and walnuts. The aroma fills my house with a luscious scent, I feel like I’ve produced something incredible each time I bake it. My son has loved it since he was a small boy, it’s a great gift for him as a birthday cake and he’s almost 48 years old!
-Oh my gosh! What can I say—-this was so delicious,, just had the last slice for dessert after dinner tonight. I washed the cake saver and will bake another within the next day or two to to fill it again. This cake is great with coffee or tea, for breakfast with cold milk, mid afternoon snack or dessert after dinner. It is a great cake for any time, even midnight snacks! LOVED this recipe. A brand new favorite of mine.
-Anita, it is a very rich cake, and anything you substitute could be great for the topping or mixed in as a swirl. The chips would be good! I like nuts the best, and Peg used pecans which would be wonderful in place of walnuts and chopped craisins as well.
